Miscanthus, also known as elephant grass, is one of Europe’s most efficient energy crops. Fast-growing, robust, virtually indestructible after the first growing season and with high CO2 absorption. Through a cooperative membership, you become a member of an agricultural cooperative in the Czech Republic that cultivates and processes Miscanthus alongside hemp, grain and legumes.

Unlike the other real asset options, you are not acquiring a physical asset directly, but a cooperative share. As a member, you are both a co-owner and a business partner, participating in the economic results of the cooperative.

The cooperative controls the entire value chain: from cultivation through processing to marketing under its own brands. Miscanthus is processed into pellets and animal bedding, hemp into a broad range of food and natural products. This vertical integration broadens the economic base and reduces dependency on individual commodity markets.

Cooperative Share With Ownership Rights

One share costs €2,000. Additional shares can be subscribed at entry or during the term.

Co-Owner And Business Partner

As a member, you have voting rights and entitlement to distributions from the cooperative’s results.

Agricultural Land In The Czech Republic

The cultivated land is partly owned by the cooperative and partly held on long-term leases. The cooperative has been operating since 2010.

Quarterly Distributions

The level of distributions is determined at the annual general meeting and paid out quarterly.

Crop Diversity Instead Of Monoculture

Miscanthus, hemp, grain and legumes are cultivated across the cooperative’s land. This breadth protects the soil and stabilises the economic base across several markets.

Short-Rotation Plantation Logic

Miscanthus regenerates from the root stock after each harvest. A plantation can be harvested annually for at least 25 years after the initial establishment.
